Ready to Launch Ignite Chicago!

It's a go, Ignite Chicago is on! What is Ignite? Ignite is a chance to present for five minutes, 20 slides, on any topic, in front of a live audience. Ignite has been held in Portland, Phoenix, Boulder, and other cities.

Why am I bringing this up? Well, talk about Big & Bold, you come up with some idea that you have a passion around and step up and present it to an audience, that takes audacity! Some participants have presented on the history of the samurai sword, how to bargain for a car, and how to not suck at writing. Why? Why the hell not!? Just 'cuz they like it. That's Big & Bold, baby!

Also, I am personally involved in this project. I read a post about it at another coach's blog, Escape From Cubicle Nation, and decided that I wanted to make this happen in Chicago. I found some helpful team members, and now it is going to happen, so this is also about me being Big & Bold. When I saw this, I thought to myself, could I get this off the ground here? You know the answer: Why the hell not?! It feels great to think a thought and make it happen. Yay me! (Yay Michael, Lynn, Matt & others, too!)

So, I ask you, my loyal, engaged, and exciting readers, please plan on joining us, this will be silly fun, and networking. Please pass the word along to people who would enjoy this. And, if you are feeling particularly Big & Bold, I dare you to submit an idea to present, something you are passionate about, something that really matters to you! Yeah, now you're living!
